Christmas 2026 at Disneyland Paris: dates, parade, giant tree and Arendelle’s first Christmas

For many regulars it is their favourite season: from 7 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, Disneyland Paris dresses up in garlands, lights and snow. Main Street looks like a postcard, a giant tree lights up the entrance square, Mickey and friends parade in festive outfits and, the big new feature this year, the kingdom of Arendelle celebrates its very first Christmas. Here is the full programme and all our tips.

The great tree in Town Square

As soon as you enter Disneyland Park the tone is set: in Town Square, the square opening onto Main Street, stands a 24-metre tree covered in baubles, ribbons and thousands of lights. It is the meeting point for every family photo, day and night.

In the evening, when the tree lights up and the Main Street façades glow with golden garlands, the street becomes one of the most beautiful Christmas settings in the Paris region.

The great 24-metre tree lights up Town Square all season long.

Mickey’s Christmas parade

The highlight of the season is Mickey’s sparkling Christmas parade, which travels up Main Street twice a day. Decorated floats, festive costumes, Christmas music and dancers: Mickey, Minnie and their friends wave to the crowds in red and white, joined by many characters.

To see it well, take your place on Main Street or along the route towards Fantasyland thirty minutes before it starts. Exact times are shown daily in the official app. The first parade is often a little less crowded than the second.

Our tip

Spots on Main Street go first. The Fantasyland end of the route, near the castle, is often calmer and gives a lovely view of the floats with the castle behind.

Arendelle’s first Christmas

This is the big news for 2026: the kingdom of Frozen, opened in spring in Disney Adventure World, is celebrating its very first Christmas. The village of Arendelle puts on its winter decorations, and the North Mountain, with Elsa’s palace on top, has never looked more at home than in December.

Make the most of it to ride Frozen Ever After and meet Anna and Elsa: all our tips are in our World of Frozen guide.

Meeting Father Christmas

Father Christmas himself welcomes children in Disneyland Park until 25 December. It is a much-anticipated moment, with a souvenir photo. The queue can be long at weekends and in the holidays: come on a weekday if possible, or early in the day. Prepare a letter in advance; children love handing it over in person.

Other characters appear in festive outfits all over both parks too: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto change costume for the occasion. Meeting places and times are in the app.

Christmas evenings

Night falls early in winter, and that is a bonus: the lights come on in the late afternoon and the evening shows start earlier than in summer, so you can enjoy them even with young children.

  • The castle show, with projections and fireworks, takes on festive colours during the season.
  • Disney Cascade of Lights, on the lake at Disney Adventure World, offers a second big night-time show (read our dedicated article).
  • Illuminated Main Street remains the loveliest place for an evening stroll with a hot drink in hand.

For New Year’s Eve, Disneyland Paris traditionally holds a special evening with extended hours. The programme and tickets are announced on the official website a few weeks before.

Disney Village and Val d’Europe at Christmas

The magic spills out of the parks. Disney Village, free to enter, is decked with lights and welcomes visitors late into the evening with its restaurants and shops. For presents, the Val d’Europe shopping centre and the La Vallée Village designer outlet in Serris are a few minutes away by RER or car. Our guides: Disney Village, Val d’Europe and La Vallée Village.

Our tips for a great Christmas

  1. Book early: tickets and accommodation for the Christmas holidays are the most sought-after of the year.
  2. Dress warmly: hat, gloves, several layers. You stand still for a long time during parades and shows.
  3. Arrive at opening: queues are short in the morning, then grow quickly.
  4. Plan a warm break in the afternoon, in a restaurant, an indoor show or back at your apartment.
  5. Save energy for the evening: that is when Christmas at Disneyland Paris is at its most beautiful.
  6. Book your meals at table-service restaurants, which are often full in the evening.

In the evening on Main Street, with snow falling and the tree lit up, you understand why so many families come back every winter.

A typical Christmas day at Disneyland Paris

  1. At opening: head to Arendelle and Frozen Ever After, or the big rides in Disneyland Park before the crowds.
  2. Late morning: meet Father Christmas before the queue grows.
  3. Midday: a hot meal at a counter-service restaurant, ideally around 11:30.
  4. Early afternoon: Mickey’s Christmas parade, on Main Street or by Fantasyland.
  5. Mid-afternoon: a warm break in an indoor show or back at the apartment.
  6. At nightfall: the Main Street lights and the great tree, hot chocolate in hand.
  7. Evening: the castle show or Disney Cascade of Lights, then the decorated Disney Village.

Christmas gift and souvenir ideas

The Christmas season is the perfect time for original gifts. The park and Disney Village shops offer special collections every year: baubles, decorations, Christmas jumpers, soft toys in festive outfits and, this year, many Arendelle-themed items.

For more classic presents, the Val d’Europe shopping centre and the La Vallée Village outlet are minutes away, with their own festive lights.

Baubles, festive soft toys and Arendelle souvenirs: the shops go Christmassy.

Christmas with young children

  • The cold: snowsuit or warm trousers, hat, mittens and spare socks. Children get cold quickly in queues.
  • The pushchair: fit it with a rain cover and a blanket.
  • Timing: night falls around 17:00, so the evening shows are possible even with little ones who go to bed early.
  • Father Christmas: prepare children for the meeting; some are shy in front of his big beard.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Decorations, parade, meetings and Christmas shows are included in park admission. Only certain special evenings, such as New Year’s Eve, may require a separate ticket.

Real snow is rare in Marne-la-Vallée, but artificial snowfall livens up some moments of the season on Main Street.

Are the parks open on 25 December?

Yes, Disneyland Paris is open every day of the year, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. It is a very popular day: book early.
