Val d’Europe shopping centre: the complete guide and new shops for 2026
A few minutes from Disneyland Paris, the Val d’Europe shopping centre in Serris is one of the largest in the Paris region. More than a place to shop, it is a real day out: an aquarium, a covered square beneath a giant chandelier, dozens of restaurants and a designer outlet right next door. In 2026 it keeps welcoming new brands. Here is our complete guide, from neighbours who go there all year round.
A centre with Parisian architecture
Opened on 25 October 2000, Val d’Europe was designed in the same spirit as the new town around it: large glass-roofed galleries, façades inspired by the 19th-century Paris arcades and street names that evoke the rivers of Europe.
With more than 93,000 m², around 190 shops and some thirty restaurants, it welcomes about 23 million visitors a year. It is almost entirely covered: perfect in the rain, between two days at Disneyland Paris.
The new shops of 2026
The centre is always renewing itself. Here are the brands that have arrived or are expected this year:
Miniso
Already open: more than 400 m² of home décor, gadgets and accessories at low prices. Heaven for teenagers and small gifts.
Jonak
Shoes and leather goods, in the former Minelli store. On-trend styles at reasonable prices.
Women’Secret
Lingerie and loungewear: only the brand’s second shop in France, after Paris.
Adopt’
French fragrances and beauty products, expected by the end of the year.
The Coffee
A Japanese-inspired coffee chain, coming soon, for a break between shops.
The big names to know
Besides the newcomers, the centre gathers most major fashion, beauty, sport and home brands. To find your way:
- Fashion and shoes: the big high-street chains for the whole family, sports brands and many shoe shops.
- Beauty: perfumeries, make-up and skincare.
- Home and leisure: décor, games, books and electronics.
- Groceries: a 16,000 m² Auchan hypermarket, handy for stocking up if you are staying in an apartment.
The up-to-date list of shops and opening hours is on the centre’s official website. Most shops open every day, with shorter hours on Sundays.
Place des Étoiles
Added in 2017, Place des Étoiles is the centre’s foodie heart: a large covered square lined with restaurants and terraces, beneath a spectacular 65-metre chandelier made of screens that change colour and pattern.
It is also where the big events of the year take place, such as the Frozen event during the autumn half-term holidays.
L’Escale Royale: Direction Arendelle
Until 1 November 2026, the centre hosts “L’Escale Royale: Direction Arendelle”, a Frozen-themed trail: a mini-passport to collect on Place des Étoiles, the four elements to discover, an augmented-reality river ride and a giant crystal at Porte des Terrasses. All the details in our dedicated article: Frozen comes to Val d’Europe.
Much more than shops
Val d’Europe is a day out in its own right, especially with children:
| Activity | Who for? | Suggested time |
|---|---|---|
| Sea Life aquarium | The whole family | 1 to 1.5 hours |
| Imagi Park (karting, bowling, laser tag, Fort Boyard Aventures) | Children 8+, teens, adults | 2 to 3 hours |
| La Vallée Village (designer outlet) | Fashion lovers | 2 hours to half a day |
| Place des Étoiles (restaurants) | Everyone | A meal |
For Sea Life and Imagi Park, read our rainy-day guide near Disneyland. For big brands at reduced prices, see our La Vallée Village guide.
Getting there easily
- By RER A: Val d’Europe station, right next to the centre’s entrance. Just one stop from Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy.
- By car: via the A4 motorway, Val d’Europe exit. The centre’s car park is large and free.
- By bus: several local lines serve Val d’Europe station from Chessy, Serris and Montévrain.
Come on a weekday morning: the malls are calm and the shelves tidy. On Saturday afternoons and during the sales the centre is very busy and the car park fills quickly.
Our ideal half-day
- 10:00: arrive by RER or car, coffee on Place des Étoiles.
- 10:30: Sea Life aquarium, before the crowds.
- 12:00: lunch in one of the square’s restaurants.
- 13:30: shops, 2026 newcomers and small gifts.
- 15:00: on to La Vallée Village next door for the big brands.
- 17:00: groceries at the hypermarket for dinner, and back to the apartment.
Val d’Europe is the perfect wild card for a Disneyland Paris stay: sheltered, close by, and something for every taste.
Val d’Europe, a town born with Disney
The shopping centre takes its name from the new town around it. Val d’Europe was born of the agreement signed in 1987 between Disney and the French State: besides the parks, it provided for a whole town with homes, schools, offices and shops.
The architecture draws on Haussmann’s Paris and other European cities: stone façades, arcaded squares, tree-lined streets. In 2005 the area had about 19,700 residents; today there are more than 37,000.
Grocery shopping for an apartment stay
If you are staying in an apartment, Val d’Europe is the ideal place to stock up at the start of your stay. The 16,000 m² Auchan hypermarket has everything you need: fresh produce, bakery, baby products and local specialities such as Brie de Meaux. A few tips:
- Do a big shop on day one for breakfasts, snacks and a few dinners.
- Prepare picnics for the parks: sandwiches, fruit and biscuits in a cool bag.
- Come on a weekday late morning, when the aisles are quiet.
Where to eat at Val d’Europe
With some thirty restaurants, there is something for every taste and budget. Place des Étoiles mainly has table-service restaurants and covered terraces; the malls have quick counters, bakeries, ice-cream parlours and cafés. For a family meal without booking, aim for 11:45 or after 13:45.
Val d’Europe on a rainy day
When the weather lets you down, the Val d’Europe centre becomes the families’ best plan. Everything is covered, heated in winter and mild in summer: you can easily spend a whole day there without opening an umbrella.
In the morning, the Sea Life aquarium, right inside the centre. At lunchtime, a meal in one of the many restaurants. In the afternoon, a little window shopping, then Imagi Park next door so the children can let off steam. All the details in our article Sea Life and Imagi Park.
Coming as a family: our practical tips
- Arrive at opening on Saturdays and during holidays: the aisles are still calm and parking is easy.
- Find the toilets and baby-changing areas on the centre map, available at the information desk and on its website.
- Set a meeting point with children old enough to wander alone, for example under the large glass roof.
- Leave the groceries until last: the hypermarket is inside the centre, no need to carry bags all day.
- Make the most of the sales in January and summer: all the major brands are there.
A shopping centre, an aquarium, a leisure park and dozens of restaurants, one RER stop from the Disney parks: Val d’Europe is much more than a place to pass through.
Evenings at Val d’Europe
After a day at the parks, Val d’Europe is also a good place for dinner without the prices or crowds of Disney Village. Several restaurants stay open in the evening, and the square around the centre comes alive on sunny days. A simple option for families staying in Serris, Chessy or Montévrain: you are back home in minutes.
